Fall Break

Well its that time - fall ball is coming to a close. Now what? Many of us have winter activities (hmm- mmm - basketball) and it really is time for a break. I really want you to succeed as we hit the spring season, so how do we do that? What do we do between now and March?

  1. TAKE A BREAK NOW! (You will enjoy coming back to the sport much more if you TAKE A BREAK NOW!
    1. This may mean telling your other coaches that you will see them in late November, and you will be a much better athlete for them to coach... TAKE A BREAK! We ALL Need IT!
    2. Don't worry about losing what you've gained. I won't let that happen!! Your pitching ability is a priority, and we won't do anything to jeopardize that!
    3. Your ARM needs a break. If you decide to play a few more weeks until the cold weather hits, that's OK. But you need a 3 week break this winter... That's 3 WEEKS WITHOUT PITCHING (or throwing, really) in a ROW! 3 WEEKS IN A ROW!!!!
  2. STAY ACTIVE
    1. Just because you aren't playing softball, doesn't mean all activity stops.
    2. Its better to continue to work out, play another sport, or keep moving in any way.
    3. Don't let the winter push you on the couch each day after school... We really WILL have alot of catching up to do in the winter!
  3. Send Me Your Schedule
    1. This way I can tailor your workouts around your other activities
    2. yes, we will still maintain exercising
    3. let me know what time committment you may have also (15min, 30min, 1hr?)
  4. After a few weeks, if you are beginning to start travel and other softball practices, great. No PITCHING Though!
    1. We will start pitching again in January. Your ARM NEEDS A BREAK right now! Give it one!
  5. Oh, and Don't Worry! We are in store for some KICK-BUTT winter workout sessions, so as we get into colder weather, I'll be in contact about winter dates, etc!
